Kaz Matsuyama appointed Managing Director of SATO International

Singapore, June 18, 2007 - SATO, a pioneer in the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry and a leader in barcode printing, labelling, and EPC/RFID solutions has announced the appointment of Kaz Matsuyama as Managing Director of SATO International with effect from July 13, 2007.

Toshihiro Waki, COO - International Operations of SATO Corporation, who was until recently Managing Director of SATO International, is taking on a new leadership role as Chairman of SATO International.

Kaz Matsuyama was one of the pioneer members of SATO International (at the time Barcode SATO International) in 2001. He has been leading the sales and marketing development activities of the global headquarters. He was instrumental in the setting up of the structure to support the international businesses’ key functions, including the recently established three regional Headquarters.

In his new role, he will have overall responsibility of managing international operations: strategy formulation and day-to-day implementation of plans to achieve the international businesses’ objectives.
