FachPack 2007: SATO presents RFID-complete solution for control of mixed pallets

Hirschhorn, Germany 31 July 2007 +++ The lableling specialist SATO presents at the FachPack from 25th to 27th September 2007 in Nuremberg (Hall 3, Booth 3-406) a RFID-complete solution for order control of mixed pallets. Another SATO highlight will be the wide product range of barcode labels which will produce in the German production in Hirschhorn. The SATO-laboratory in Hirschhorn supports not only the development from new labels but also guarantee a constant high quality of the current production.

With an RFID solution for order control SATO – the world’s leading manufacturer of label and barcode printers and specialist in Data Collection Systems (DCS) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) - underlines it’s competence as a complete solutions provider. The System is implemented very successfully at a food-industry customer and is easily adoptable to other industries and products. During a weigh procedure of cartons an RFID Desktop printer prints out a summation label which will be applied at every carton manually. A pallet which contents (oder “assembles”) many of these boxes will be moved through a transportable RFID Gate, to check the goods at the pallet automatically. If there is a box missing or a wrong box on it , a red-light signal lamp gives a warning. Is everything ok, the lamp lights green and a SATO S84 print module prints out immediately an RFID pallet label, which is automatically applied by an Applicator to the pallet.

Besides the RFID complete solutions and the extensive portfolio of label material SATO presents at the FachPack numerous further barcode and RFID printers, several complete solutions for the package and shipping field as well as the supply-chain-management. On a special solution island SATO presents the whole scope: From low-end label printer, the low-priced SATO LM4e and the new midrange printer SATO GL4e till the industrial high performance printer M84Pro. Since SATO took over the barcode division from Checkpoint-Meto last year, the labeling specialist is strongly growing: In the financial year 2006/2007 SATO worldwide realized gross revenues from 705 Millionen US-Dollar and an operating income from 49 Millionen US-Dollar. That’s the best result in the company´s history. Since 2006 SATO operates in the German-speaking area under the name SATO Labelling Solutions Europe GmbH and offers a complete range of labeling solutions: from customized barcode and RFID labels across portable label printers and high performance print modules for automatic print and apply until automatic RFID FlagTagTM applicators including mobile and stationary RFID gates.
