SATO's new high-speed industrial printer

SATO has launched a new series of cost-effective printers, the GZ series. Easy-to-control and featuring advanced technology to print images at high speed, it is expected to set a new standard in the transport and logistics industry, enabling users to improve traceability, increase efficiencies, reduce operating costs and achieve a competitive edge.

The GZ series of printers offers high processing speed and large amounts of on-board memory to quickly and easily manage any label printing requirement, while being cost effective to run. Designed to perform in the most demanding environments of the logistics industry, SATO’s easy-to-use printers provide clear, accurate text printing and consistently precise and high quality one or two dimensional barcode images.

The GZ series prints high resolution at 203 and 305 dpi and has a high speed of 254 and 203 mm per second. It features a RISC processor which provides exceptional performance in label production even when printing directly from standard Windows. The printer is available in three models: a combo model (USB, RS232, IEEE1284), a LAN model and wireless LAN model.

Thanks to its emulation language, the new GZ printers can be easily integrated into existing business processes, allowing rapid identification, precise sorting and efficient tracking and reporting of post, parcel and other items at each stage of the shipping and delivery process.

Incorporated with a rigid steel chassis that's enclosed in a durable steel cabinet, the sturdy and robust series of printers has a long life span, with upgrading options available.

The GZ series printers are suitable for a range of shipping and receiving applications, where barcodes are applied at the source to ensure end-to-end traceability, as well as cross docking.
