SATO showcases labelling solutions for catering and food on-the-go professionals at Sandwich and Snack Show 2016


Heidelberg, 29 February 2016 – SATO, a leading global provider of Auto-ID solutions that empower workforces and streamline operations, will help catering and food on-the-go professionals address some of their key challenges at Sandwich & Snack 2016 in Paris from 14 to 15 March (Stand E099 – Hall 3).


One of the highlights will be the Application-Enabled Printing (AEP) CL4NX printer which can be used as a stand-alone printing solution. This eliminates the need for costly computers while keeping hardware footprint to a minimum in the busy kitchen environment. The fast-food industry will also appreciate the improved productivity that AEP brings as it requires less training to operate printing labels by querying printer-stored or external databases automatically.


The time and cost associated with purchasing many different types of labels is another key issue that the food industry faces. SATO’s JUDO FOOD handheld labeller solution is the only handlabeller on the market to print the date and month in full, enabling users to easily improve food security as well as flexibility with 13-pre designed, most commonly used, food industry texts such as: ‘cooked on’, ‘defrosted on’, ‘storage temperature’ and ‘best before’.


Food must be labelled in restaurant kitchens from preparation to final product and food traceability regulations in Europe even require manufactures to label a product that has previously been defrosted. To minimise human error and ensure food is safe for consumption SATO will showcase its TH2 All in Box, a ready-to-use pack which includes an intelligent TH2 printer and labels. The printer has its own database which restaurant professionals can alter according to their needs. Its internal real-time clock automatically calculates and prints the time and date onto the labels.
