SATO Europe Leads the Way in Sustainability with the New European Consumables Program

23/11/23SATO Europe Leads the Way in Sustainability with the New European Consumables Program

In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, SATO Europe is dedicated to creating meaningful change through its labelling solutions. We are proud to unveil the Sustainable European Consumables Programme (ECP), a significant advancement in our commitment to environmental sustainability.

A Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is a core responsibility for SATO Europe. The new ECP aims to reduce carbon emissions by 15-20% and to minimise water and energy consumption during the production process. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to lead the industry in sustainable practices, extending beyond labelling to overall operational efficiency.

Laurent Lassus, SATO's Head of Europe, emphasised the importance of this new programme: "Transitioning to 100% recycled paper is in perfect alignment with our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our initiatives are guided by ethical considerations for the planet and future generations."

Partnership and Flexibility

European businesses are encouraged to participate in the Sustainable European Consumables Programme. In doing so, they align themselves with a growing consumer preference for environmentally responsible corporate behaviour.

The Sustainable ECP is an advancement of SATO Europe's previous offerings. It retains features like volume-based discounts and multi-industry applicability but now places a greater emphasis on environmental sustainability. This aligns with global efforts to mitigate the impact of industry on the environment.

SATO Europe offers a flexible ordering system designed to minimise waste. Orders can be as small as a single box of labels. This feature is particularly advantageous for small to medium-sized enterprises, as it facilitates their transition to more sustainable operational practices and allows them to manage their inventory more efficiently.

Join Us

Participation in our programme offers quality labels and contributes to a broader environmental mission. The Sustainable European Consumables Programme serves as a declaration of our environmental and ethical commitments. Businesses across Europe can make a statement with every label and join us in leading the way towards a more sustainable future for all.
