SATO ID AUTH Enhances Security, Visibility and Productivity for Label Printing Operations
SATO Corporation, a global pioneer in auto-identification and labelling solutions, today announced the launch of SATO ID AUTH, an innovative single sign-on (SSO) service that allows label printer users to access SATO's cloud applications seamlessly using just one set of credentials. The new offering optimises data visibility, control and workplace productivity through a centralised dashboard for user provisioning and management.
Password-based attacks against cloud identities increased tenfold1 in 2023. 2 Multifactor authentication (MFA)3 ensures accounts are 99.2% less likely to be compromised than systems using only ID and password.
SATO ID Auth provides MFA protection while ensuring convenience of signing on to authorised SATO cloud apps including SATO App Storage and SOS (SATO Online Services) using a single SATO ID, Google or Microsoft account4. This eliminates the hassle of juggling multiple passwords and contacting IT for credential-related issues.
"In today's cloud-powered workplace, securely accessing the right tools and data with ease is essential for productive label printing," said Hayato Shindo, Head of Global Business at SATO Holdings Corporation. "SATO ID AUTH provides that secure, seamless connectivity while giving administrators centralised oversight and control over user access. With this service, SATO users will enjoy ease of use backed by enterprise-grade security, accessibility and data visibility — a triple win. "
Key capabilities of SATO ID AUTH:
n Single Sign-On: Users log in once to access SATO's full cloud eco-system
n Centralised User Management: Admins can centrally provision, deprovision and manage users across connected apps
n Synchronised User Data: Changes made are reflected across all integrated apps
n Unified Dashboard: Real-time visibility into connected users, printers, locations and services
n Robust Security: MFA support, encryption, DDoS protection and granular access permissions
By connecting SATO's cloud solutions through a single identity provider, administrators can move between applications easily while IT teams can centralise user lifecycle management to enhance workplace mobility, security and productivity.
