SATO Europe appoints Toshiyuki Nagatani as Technology Director

6th January 2026 – Heidelberg, Germany – SATO Europe, a global provider of labelling and auto-identification solutions, today announced the appointment of Toshiyuki (“Toshi”) Nagatani as Technology Director, effective 1 January 2026. With 22 years of experience at SATO, Toshi brings deep expertise in printer platforms, software-enabled solutions and customer programmes. In his new role, he will support the next phase of SATO Europe’s solutions strategy, working closely with European teams to strengthen the delivery of scalable, reliable and customer-ready solutions.
Toshi’s background spans technology platforms, development pipelines and real-world customer use cases. As Technology Director in Europe, he will focus on turning this expertise into deployable solutions at scale, aligning product management with solution design, connecting engineering with field feedback, and ensuring that architecture, security and support standards are consistent from pilot through to roll-out. He will work across European teams and in close coordination with SATO R&D teams to ensure that roadmaps reflect operational requirements and enter the market with the right quality, documentation and service readiness.
