SATO Europe Recognised at RFID Journal LIVE! 2025 for RFID Implementation with Selmark
01/07/25
SATO Europe was honoured as a finalist in the Best Retail RFID Implementation category at the RFID Journal Awards 2025, held during RFID Journal LIVE! in Las Vegas. The award recognises the measurable success of SATO’s collaboration, along with our partner JSV, with Spanish lingerie and swimwear brand Selmark, which achieved a 30% improvement in logistics efficiency through UHF RFID.
Stefan Linz, RFID Manager at SATO Europe, was on site in Las Vegas to accept the recognition on behalf of the team.
This marks the second major recognition of the project by RFID Journal, which previously featured the deployment in a December 2024 article titled “Spanish Lingerie Company Boosts Efficiency with RFID”. That coverage highlighted how Selmark dramatically improved inventory accuracy, reduced packing errors, and sped up fulfilment—all while maintaining operational flexibility across complex SKU and seasonal cycles.
RFID Tailored for Fashion Logistics
The project involved the implementation of SATO’s full UHF RFID solution, including tags, printers, and middleware. The system was integrated seamlessly into Selmark’s warehouse and logistics operations to enable real-time item-level visibility. Staff were trained to manage encoding and tagging processes in-house, allowing Selmark to remain agile during peak production periods and adapt quickly to retail demand.
The RFID data feeds into Selmark’s existing systems to support informed decision-making around replenishment, customer service, and returns handling. The result: faster order processing, better tracking, and a consistent customer experience across channels.
Collaboration that Delivers
“SATO’s approach isn’t just about hardware—it’s about working closely with customers to develop solutions that make a tangible impact,” said Stefan Linz. “The success of the Selmark deployment reflects their openness to innovation and our shared focus on scalable, real-world value.”
The RFID Journal Awards are presented annually to highlight the most effective and innovative deployments of RFID and related technologies across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics. Finalists are selected based on project outcomes, scalability, and overall impact.
