2nd February 2026 – Heidelberg, Germany – SATO, a global provider of labelling and identification solutions, announces that its production facility in Poland has been certified to the BRCGS Packaging Materials standard. The site achieved certification in July 2025, marking an important milestone for SATO Europe, which now operates two BRCGS-certified label manufacturing sites in the region (Poland and the UK).
This internationally recognised certification confirms that SATO meets the highest quality and safety standards in the production of labels and tags used as secondary packaging for food, retail, and consumer goods. It reinforces the group’s commitment to supporting customers who must comply with increasingly stringent regulatory and market expectations.
The certified manufacturing process includes flexographic printing using UV-cured and water-based inks, as well as die-cutting and converting of a wide range of materials such as paper, PE, PP, PET, PVC, and PS. This capability enables SATO to deliver safe, reliable and customised labelling solutions across diverse applications.
“The BRCGS PM certification underscores our commitment to safety, quality, and transparency throughout the entire value chain,” said Christian Cürvers, Product Manager for Consumables at SATO. “Our customers can rely on our products to meet the most stringent requirements of the market.”
This achievement supports SATO’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy by promoting responsible, safe, and high-quality manufacturing practices across its European operations. With two certified facilities, SATO further strengthens its position as a reliable partner for the food and consumer goods industries, delivering both high performance and sustainable labelling solutions.
