Patient Positive Identification

SATO has been involved in the development of straightforward, fail-safe positive patient identification systems for over two decades, working with healthcare organisations to produce patient ID wristbands that are fit for specific environments and stay durations.

The demands of the care environment require precision matching of specimens, records and patients 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. SATO patient positive identification solutions guarantee peace of mind for healthcare workers ensuring the right patients are receiving the right care, with precision and accuracy.

SATO understands that there is no one-size-fits all solution to ensuring patient comfort and safety and that’s why its developed six patient ID wristband solutions for optimum flexibility delivering error-free, accurate identification data.

The SATO patient ID wristband range includes solutions for long-stay patients, utilising soft and durable, environmentally friendly materials and thermal transfer printing technology to ensure lasting, high-quality printed data. In addition, there is a cost-effective range of direct thermal printable wristbands that offer many of the same benefits as the premium range but are more suited to patients staying up to one week in hospital.

SATO has also developed economical options for short-stay patients and outpatients, with convenience in mind. And last but not least, SATO offers customisable high-performance RFID wristbands and laser-ink-jet-printed sheets for customers wishing to use their existing printers.
